2027 Kane County Impact Fee Program Update
2027 Kane County Impact Fee Program Update
The Kane County Division of Transportation (KDOT) has begun the 2027 update to its Comprehensive Road Improvement Plan (CRIP), a required component of the County’s Road Impact Fee Program. This program, which began in 2004 and updated every five years in accordance with Illinois state law, helps to fund road infrastructure improvements that support new development.
An Impact Fee Advisory Committee – composed of representatives from local municipalities, the County, the real estate, development, and building industries, and the labor community – will meet five times during the update process.
Information about meetings will be posted on this page as it becomes available.
Two public hearings will also be held – one in fall 2025 and another in fall 2026 – to give residents the opportunity to review plans and provide input. This page will be updated in advance of each public hearing so the community can access materials and share feedback.
